Metacognition
Why is metacognition important for your child? Teaching content with metacognitive skills at the forefront supports not only clear thinking but promotes focus through mindfulness, inclusion and awareness. Higher order thinking starts early. In the elementary classroom today, methods around connection and analysis are necessary. Things are moving at an accelerated pace compared with even 5 years ago. If your child needs added support please email or give me a call. Feel free to leave a question in the comment section if you would like.
